A Jackson county Circuit Court jury hit Lee’s Summit with a civil judgment of slightly more than $68,000 Monday. City bailiff Ronald Wilk filed suit against the city in October 2010 charging employment discrimination.

Geneva official charged with theft, misconduct
Geneva's streets superintendent was charged Friday with felony theft, official misconduct and online theft, according to Kane County court records. Steve LeMaire, who has worked for Geneva for 33 years, had been suspended Jan. 12 while the city investigated.
